Ethnic diversity is a key focus, and we have partnerships with Taylor Bennett Foundation and 10,000 Black Interns, as well as remote internships for career-starters outside of London, to continue to drive inclusion into our recruitment from the ground up.
We aim to maintain a broadly equal gender split across the Group and have policies to support individuals through pregnancy, fertility and menopause.
We have a Healthy Minds Working Group, with 11 trained Mental Health First Aiders and are signed up to The Global Business Collaboration for Better Workplace Mental Health 6-point pledge. We invest heavily in our LiveSmart programme covering resilience, adaptability, managing stress & tech life balance, and an Employee Assistance Programme providing confidential help.
Our LGBTQ+ network has welcomed a diverse set of voices from Hanover with regular lunch & learns as well as supporting organisations such as the Freedom to Donate campaign.
We have a buddy scheme specifically for working parents and our family-friendly policies include enhanced maternity, paternity, adoption & shared parental packages and parental coaching.
Hanover has been included in the Social Mobility Foundation Index Top 75 and received their coveted kitemark. The Index is an essential tool that has helped Hanover develop our social mobility strategy, broadening our recruitment channels, increasing diversity and providing additional support and guidance to our employees, which is particularly important following the pandemic and amidst the cost-of-living crisis.
