With over two decades of experience in government, finance, and industry, Hayes brings a wealth of knowledge and political acumen to Hanover across a range of sectors.
Hayes was a member of the European Parliament, where he served as Vice-President on the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee. Prior to that, he served as a TD, Senator and a Minister of State in the Department of Finance and the Department for Public Expenditure and Reform.
Hayes left politics in 2019 and currently serves as CEO of Banking & Payments Federation Ireland (BPFI), the voice of the banking, payments, and fintech industry in Ireland.
