Dr Fergal McNamara is one of Ireland’s leading experts on corporate regulatory affairs in the energy field and has held senior leadership and advisory roles with some of Ireland’s leading organisations and Government Departments in Ireland, UK and across Europe.
Fergal, has been the Head of Capacity Market Design for a UK Government, Senior Energy Advisor for an Irish Government Department and Chairman of the Distribution Committee at the leading European trade association, Eurelectric.
Fergal is co-chair of the Climate and Energy Group at the leading think tank the Institute of International and European Affairs and an Adjunct Professor at the UCD Energy Institute.
