Janez Potočnik joins Hanover as Senior Advisor

With a long and distinguished career in politics, Janez Potočnik’s experience spans national and European policymaking, including two mandates as European Commissioner, first for the Science and Research and then for the Environment. His current role as Co-Chair of the United Nations Environment Programme International Resource Panel places him at the heart of the conversation about how the world addresses one of its biggest sustainability challenges.

Potočnik will focus his time and advice on sustainability strategies as part of Hanover 3600, a pan-EMEA offering for organisations looking to embed sustainability practices within business strategy, public affairs, and communications to drive meaningful change. Hanover’s 30-strong Brussels team works closely with businesses, trade associations, NGOs, and public sector bodies to bridge the gap between their business objectives and the policy environment in which they operate.
