Action
To amplify the impact of Help for Heroes’ core aims – namely greater support for veterans’ mental health and the need for further funding into veteran support in the UK – we organised a full day of activity in Westminster for the charity. This entailed a roundtable event with relevant Government officials and armed forces stakeholders in the morning, and a Parliamentary event in the afternoon.
Impact
The event was attended by all ministers and shadow ministers with the veterans brief in their portfolio, as well as over 100 MPs and the activity has deepened Help for Heroes’ relationships across the political spectrum.
We are continuing to support the charity by providing ongoing strategic advice on their Government engagement to ensure support for veterans remains a priority for both parties alongside their wider political aims.
