Hanover Communications, one of Ireland’s leading strategic communications consultancies, today announced the hire of Brendan Griffin as a Senior Public Affairs Advisor.

This strategic appointment builds on Hanover Dublin’s most successful year in 2024, helped by the acquisition of new clients in the technology, healthcare, renewable energy and professional services sectors.

Brendan Griffin served as Fine Gael TD for Kerry from 2016-2024 and Kerry South from 2011-2016. He brings significant experience of Government and policy making, having held the role of Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport with special responsibility for Tourism and Sport 2017 – 2020. He also served as Deputy Government Chief Whip from 2020 to 2022. During the 33rd Dáil he served as a key member of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Tourism, Culture, Arts, Sport and Media, as well as the Dáil Business Committee.

A key focus of Brendan’s work with Hanover will include enhancing our strategic counsel and public affairs offering to clients in the transport, sport and tourism sectors. He will also work closely with Dame Tracey Crouch, Hanover’s Managing Director for Sport and former Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Sport, Tourism and Heritage.

Brendan joins Hanover Dublin’s Senior Advisory team which includes former Tánaiste Mary Harney.
